      Trace-Pitman Greenway A wonderful gem right in the city, the Trace-Pitman Greenway follows Little Pitman Creek and Trace Creek. The trail offers beautiful views of the woods and meadows along the creeks and has picnic tables and benches spread throughout making it a perfect spot for the whole family to enjoy. Frequently used by joggers, walkers, and bicyclists, you may also see deer or great blue heron while out on the greenway. The Trace-Pitman Greenway is a two mile trail that is partially paved and part gravel.

Kayaks, canoes and non-motorized boats are welcome but no gasoline motors are allowed. An annual membership is required and may be purchased at “Pompano’s” Bait House.       US Army Corps of Engineers Trails Along with the great camping, boating, fishing, hunting and picnicking opportunities found around Green River Lake, there are also almost 50 miles of trails meandering around the lake that afford some of the most scenic views in the region. From crossing lush valleys to taking in gorgeous overlooks, visitors are sure to find a trail that meets their abilities and gives a sense of hiking adventure. The US Army Corps of Engineers maintains hiking trails off Lake Road located between Soul Chapel Road and Site 1 Boat Ramp in the Green River Dam area. The Salsman trail is 1.1 miles in length and offers a beautiful view of Green River Lake and the floating cabins at Green River Marina. The wooded path is well marked with trail markers.
