Campbellsville City Lake is a picturesque 85-acre fishing destination that requires an annual membership fee of $25 for access. At the lake, Backyard BB-Q & Bait shop offers a comprehensive selection of bait, tackle, as well as rentals for kayaks and two-man fishing boats. The lake itself is home to a diverse range of fish species, including bluegill, bass, shell cracker, warmouth, blue catfish, flathead catfish, crappie, carp, longear sunfish, and channel catfish. For those interested in exploring the waters, kayak rentals are available at $25 per day, as are two-man fishing boats.
Keep an eye on their Facebook page for upcoming events, including Saturday kids' fishing tournaments in June and July, as well as monthly bass tournaments from April to November. Notably, gasoline motors, cast netting, trig lines, and trout lines are not permitted on the lake, and boating after dark is restricted. To enjoy the lake's offerings, an annual family membership costing $25 is required.
Backyard BB-Q & Bait operates out of the former Popano's Boat House, providing live and artificial bait alongside a delectable food truck menu.
