Campbellsville 4th of July Celebration

Campbellsville 4th of July Celebration will be held July 2-4, 2021!

Friday, July 2

The Festivities begin on Friday, July 2, when Arts & Crafts Booths on Main Street as well as the great food booths located in the Taylor Regional Hospital Food Court open up downtown at 5 PM. Shortly thereafter, the Taylor County Public Library Children’s Parade begins at 5:30 PM and will proceed west to east on Main Street. You will be able to enjoy the Murakami Hot Air Balloon Glow located on South Central Avenue near the Police Department. The K-Country Showdown will be on East Main Street near Firestone. The Elk Horn Baptist Church Family Fun Zone will be in its usual location at the end of East Main Street, directly in front of Jackson Towers.

Saturday, July 3

Bright and early on Saturday, July 3, we offer all types of events to start our day. We have the Murakami Hot Air Balloons lifting off again. This time in Miller Park at the Walk Track, as well as a myriad of events happening downtown. There’s a free breakfast at Campbellsville Christian Church and free Yoga with Wendy Tabone on Main Street. The parade and float contest, Tri-County Car Club’s Classic Car Show at Campbellsville University, a Family Fun Zone, and many other events will make this year’s Fourth of July Celebration an event you wouldn’t want to miss!

Additionally, you can sign up for our family-friendly Freedom 5K/1K Run/Walk, which takes you through and around our historic downtown Campbellsville. This great event is Saturday morning, July 3, with pre-registration at 7:30 AM and race time at 8 AM. The meet-up takes place in front of the Justice Center in downtown Campbellsville on historic Main Street.

Late afternoon, all activities will be moved to Miller Park for the Manchester Tank Fun Festival! Join us for an evening of games, music, and entertainment. There’s the CKNJ Duck Derby, the Don Franklin Key Grab on City Lake, and a FREE concert by multiple bands on the Murakami Park Stage. Hang around for the grand finale of the celebrations – the FIREWORKS EXPLOSION!!! This fireworks show is sure to shock and awe all who see it!

Sunday, July 4

Moving on into Sunday, July 4, join us for a great afternoon concert and community picnic at our 23rd Annual Southern Gospel Music Showcase, hosted by and located at Campbellsville Baptist Church. The Picnic starts at 1 PM, followed by the singing at 3 PM.
