GREEN RIVER LAKE STATE PARK
Green River Lake State Park contains 1,331 acres of land and is situated along the shoreline of the 8,210-acre Green River Lake. The park has many attractions for those who wish to experience the beauty that is in Kentucky.
The park has an 18-hole miniature golf course, hiking trails, a beach, picnic areas, and playgrounds. The state dock, Green River Marina, has boat rentals, a supply store, and a snack bar. The lake abounds in the bass, bluegill, catfish, crappie, walleye, and muskie.
Fresh air and good times couldn’t be better than in this 229-site lakeside campground. Relax in one of the 157 (Standard Electric) improved campsites, 72 tents(no electric or water). A grocery, a dump station, and three central service buildings with showers, restrooms, and a laundry facility are available.
The park also has two boat ramps. No fee is charged to use the ramps.
Enjoy the sand between your toes and the gentle waves of Green River Lake at the campground beach.
A great way for the entire family to play together is on the 18-hole, miniature golf course.
Volleyball lovers can almost always find a pick-up game on the sand court
Green River Lake State Park has 28 miles of trails twisting around the lake with some of the most scenic views in the region. The trails are multi-use for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Foot travel is allowed on all trails, but bikes and horses are restricted from some trails.

The Green River Gift Shop is adjacent to the camping area. You can choose from a large selection of Kentucky handcrafts and souvenirs and find the perfect memento for your vacation.
BIRD WATCHING AREA
A secluded birdwatching area is located near the entrance of the park.
The pavilion is available to rent for special events, birthday parties, weddings, family reunions, etc. Fee is charged

Green River Lake State Park host several annual events throughout the year.
- Camper Appreciation Weekend occurs near the end of April annually. You pay one night and get the second free of charge.
- Armed Forces Day occurs in May annually. Receive a 10% military discount. Special Activities throughout the weekend are planned.
- Kids Outdoor Day is in June. It is a free day, open to the public for kids of all ages to enjoy outdoor sports such as fishing, boating, archery, bb guns, game calling, nature hikes, and more.
- Halloween in the Park is in October. You’ll enjoy free ghost golf, pumpkin decorating contest, costume contest, campsite decoration contest, and more!
Pets may be brought into state park campgrounds as long as they are on a leash.
