Green River Tailwater Picnic Shelter

The Green River Tailwater picnic shelter is right off HWY 55 near the stilling basin. It is available for rent for special occasions, family reunions, weddings, etc. To reserve a picnic shelter you must call the reservation line at 1-877-444-6777 or go to www.recreation.gov. If a shelter has not been reserved for a particular day, it may be used free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Corps also has the following picnic shelter available in the Green River Lake area.

• Green River Lake Visitor Center picnic shelter is right behind the Visitor Center with a great view of Green River Dam.
• Satterly Shelter is right along the shoreline of Green River Lake at the Site 1 boat ramp.
• Big Oak Shelter is off Lake Road near the Site 1 Boat Ramp.
• Holmes Bends Shelter is on the south end of the lake by Holmes Bend Marina.
